Annual report 2025 published

Despite geopolitical crises, growing competition and uncertain markets, the German export sector remains a key driver of growth and employment. The 2025 Annual Report on Export Credit Guarantees shows how the Federal Government supports businesses – through modern hedging instruments, new funding approaches and strong international partnerships. These measures are designed to help make the German export sector more flexible and strengthen its competitiveness.

Among other things, the report highlights the following topics:

• Further development of export credit guarantees through the new ‘flex&cover’ package of measures for faster and simpler protection of export transactions
• Trends in covered export transactions, country and sector priorities, and current figures on risks, indemnities and results
• Promotion of sustainability and future technologies – including projects in the fields of renewable energy, green hydrogen and climate-friendly industrial initiatives
